Like the rest of the Infiniti lineup, the brand's premium midsize sedan gets the new nomenclature. The 2014 Infiniti Q70 replaces the 2013 Infiniti M Line. Although the 2014 Q70 is Infiniti's largest sedan, it competes with the midsize BMW 5 Series, Lexus GS, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class in size and price. Three engines are offered: a 330-hp 3.7-liter V-6 with 270 lb-ft of torque, a 420-hp, 417 lb-ft 5.6-liter V-8, and a hybrid model. The Q70 hybrid mates a 302-hp, 258 lb-ft 3.5-liter V-6 with an electric motor producing 67 hp and 199 lb-ft. Total system output is rated 360 hp. A seven-speed automatic is the only transmission offering. All-wheel drive is available with the 3.7-liter and 5.6-liter engines. Rear-drive 3.7-liter models are rated 18/26 mpg city/highway, while the all-wheel-drive model is rated 17/24. Q70 V-8 models are rated 16/24 mpg for rear-drive models, while the highway mileage for all-wheel-drive models drops to 23 mpg.
